Welcome to the Eastland CUSD #308 webpage. The format has been updated as part of our ongoing effort to improve communications among students and staff, as well as parents, residents and visitors to our district. We encourage your feedback.

Like most schools throughout the country, Eastland is in the midst of a digital conversion. With the installation of interactive white boards in all buildings, mobile computer labs in Eastland Middle School, and personal laptop computers for all students at Eastland High School, we seek to ensure that all students become proficient not only in their academic skills, but also in the effective and ethical use of the technologies that have become the very infrastructure of a global economy.

The District vision is that all students will develop core competencies in reading, writing, speaking and listening, and that all will learn to apply mathematics and scientific methods to solve problems. In developing these competencies, we expect that they will reference history and use technology. Finally, we seek to instill values that will nurture their mental and physical wellness in a world that challenges both.   

To support this vision, we work to ensure that students and staff feel safe and secure while attending our schools. We strive to maximize time on task. We look to manage finances responsibly so that resources can be targeted to the outcomes implicit in our vision. Most importantly, we promote a climate of continuous growth, confident that the need for self-improvement is universal, and fundamental to our well-being.
