As I begin my 32nd year at Lanark/Eastland Schools, we all face many exciting changes. I started teaching English and language arts in Lanark with an undergraduate degree in English Education from the University of Iowa. Since then, I have added a Masters degree in Instructional Technolgy from Northern Illinois University and many more graduate hours in technology, reading methods, and media related topics. I am a certified K-12 Library Information Specialist, and I serve as the district Media Specialist . I spend most of my days at Eastland High School, and at least two afternoons a week at the Pre-K through 2nd grade level at the Eastland Elementary in Lanark. I also am the adviser of the Eastland High School yearbook staff, and a group of 16 students will be creating Volume 26 of the Paw Print this year.

My husband, Jerry and I live on a farm outside of Lanark. Our daughter, August (2009 Eastland graduate) attends Illinois State University, pursuing a degree in English Publishing Studies, with a minor in mass media. Our son, Calvin (2011 Eastland graduate) will begin studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
