Meal Requirements

K - 8th Meal Requirements 
* Requirements are based on 625 Calories per day.
* Fruit:
     fresh or canned - 1/2 cup per day
*Vegetables:
     3 3/4 cups per week
     Dark Green - 1/2 cup
     Red-Orange - 3/4 cup
     Beans - Peas - 1/2 cup
     Starchy - 1/2 cup
     Additional Vegetables - 1 cup
*Grains:
     1 ounce per day 8-10 ounces per week
*Meat/Meat Alternates:
     1 ounce per day 9 - 10 per week
*Milk:
     1 cup per day
 
  
 
9th - 12th Meal Requirements
*Requirements are based on 750 calories per day
*Fruit:
     Fresh or canned - 1 cup per day
*Vegetables:
     5 cups per week
     Dark Green - 1/2 cup
     Red-Orange - 1 1/4 cups
     Beans - Peas - 1/2 cups
        Starchy - 1/2 cup
        Other - 3/4 cup
        Additional Vegetables - 1 1/2 cups
*Grains:
     2 ounces per day 10 - 12 per week
*Meat -Meat Alternates:
     2 ounces per day 10 - 12 per week
*Milk:
     1 cup per day
