Donuts with Grown-Ups at EES has been rescheduled for Monday, April 20th.
We have been notified that the elementary school has suffered a major water main break. Water has been shut off at the elementary until it can be repaired and the repair process is to take at least all day tomorrow. Our schools rely on safe water access throughout the day, including restroom use and food service, and thus we are unable to operate safely under current conditions.
As a result, there will not be school for Eastland on Friday, April 17th. This cancellation is for the entire district PreK through 12th grade. This is not an e-learning day. School is canceled, and the day will be made up. Athletic practices and activities will still take place and coaches will communicate those times.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this unexpected situation.

Dear Parents and Community Members,
Eastland Jr./Sr. High School would like to inform you of an upcoming Emergency Response Demonstration Assembly that will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 1:30 p.m. in the EJSHS north parking lot.
This outdoor assembly is part of our effort to provide students with awareness and education regarding emergency response services. The demonstration will include participation from several local emergency agencies, including:
REACT Helicopter
Mercy Health MD-1 Vehicle
Lanark/Shannon Fire Department and EMS
Carroll County Sheriff’s Department
During this time, you may notice increased emergency vehicle presence, noise, and helicopter activity near the school grounds. Please be assured that this is a planned and controlled educational event, and there is no emergency situation.

Parking for those with disabilities is available in any of the surrounding quadrants on a first come first served basis.
Circle drives are available on the East and West sides of the building for drop-off and pick-up.
The deadline to sign up for Thursday’s Fan Bus is today at noon. Sign-up for the Fan Bus for the possible Saturday game will be available until Friday at noon.
