Today was 2nd Grade's dress up as your favorite tall tale or fairy tale character. They even got a surprise drop by from Paul Bunyan.
Congratulations to the newest members of the Eastland Music Department! Last night, 5th grade band students (and their family members!!) participated in their 1st band lesson taught by specialists for each instrument. It was a wonderful night of 1st sounds!! We’re going to have a great year of music making!!
These two students received a PERFECT score on their English Language Arts Illinois Assessment of Readiness test. This is a HUGE accomplishment and we are so proud of them!

Mrs. Blair's 2nd grade enrichment group continued their work with community service by drawing photos of animals that need homes for Safe Haven Humane Society in Elizabeth, IL. They hope their drawings will help get these animals adopted!

8/26-Practice in PC, 3:45pm-6:00pm. Practice will be in the air conditioned gym and weight room.
8/27-Practice in PC, 7:00pm-9:00pm. IHSA heat guidelines will be followed. Air conditioned indoor gym is available if needed.

Community hours for the weight room will be Monday - Thursday 5:45am-7:15am next week.
The 2nd grade enrichment class has been talking about community service and brainstorming ideas of how they can help their community. They decided to start by making snack bags for our local police officers to show them how much we appreciate them keeping us safe.
Due to maintenance issues at the Lake Carroll Pool, we will be pushing the EJSHS PE trip to next week on Wednesday (8/28) and Thursday (8/29). We will not be going to the pool this week. Apologies for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
