A reminder to the Eastland community that Parent/Teacher conferences begin this Friday and will continue on Monday, November4th. There will be an 11:30 dismissal this Friday and there will be no school on Monday, November 4th. Additionally, there will be no school on Tuesday , November 5th, for Election Day.

Yesterday, sophomore Kole H recorded a 21.52mph Flying 10 sprint and moved into a tie for 3rd Place with senior Adam A. Great job, Kole! Keep working your way up the board! ⚡️⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🔥

On October 26th the Eastland Marching Band & Color Guard traveled to Galena for their annual Halloween Parade. The band performed "Phantom of the Opera". Many wore masquerade masks that they purchased on the New Orleans trip this past summer. The kids enjoy closing out our marching season with this fun parade. Great job Marching Cougars and congratulations on your marching season!

The power at EES has been restored. We will be returning to our normal school day.
EES is currently without power. We do not currently have an ETA on the restoration. As of now school is in session as buses were in route. The kids will be kept in a safe place with light. We will send out more information as soon as we are informed.

We will be having a brief BluePoint Drill today, Wednesday, October 23rd, around noon at both EJSHS and EES. This will be a short test of the system and should be over in a few minutes time.

Sophomore Phin M earned the white Truck Stick wristband earlier this week while Junior Trixie C earned the blue wristband. The Truck Stick is a measure of force calculated from the athlete’s body weight and 10yd sprint score. There are 3 wristbands total so these students are off to a great year!
